There is a perfect job for everyone

In our previous article, Supercharge your AI with Prompt Frameworks - Part 1, we touched on how some of us experienced an end to the honeymoon period when it comes to AI Engines being extremely helpful. We needed more, but learned that this extra oomph needed to come from us…we needed to supercharge our Prompt Engineering. We wrote about what we had learned from researching many different Frameworks to solve specific business problems.

In this article we will be focusing on which frameworks are best suited to scenarios in specific job roles, and provide working examples of how these can be used within everyday work product.

The SPEAR framework (Start, Provide, Explain, Ask, Rinse & Repeat) is very efficient at guiding users to simplify requests. Job Roles where this could be used to great effect include:

Marketers Use Case Scenario

  • Creating a compelling introduction for a new product launch blog post by identifying the user intent and pain points. A well-constructed prompt can write an engaging intro, leading to higher engagement and conversion rates.

Strategists Use Case Scenario

  • Employing the framework during a team brainstorming session to outline a new marketing strategy, by clearly defining the audience and their pain points. The marketing team then develops targeted campaigns that effectively address customer needs.

The Few-shot Prompt Framework utilizes examples to guide AI models in generating contextually relevant outputs. It simplifies complex tasks into reusable templates. Job Roles where this could be used to great effect include:

Analyst Use Case Scenario

  • Implementing the framework to categorize customer feedback into sentiment categories. By providing a handful of labeled examples, the model quickly learns to classify large volumes of feedback accurately, improving response strategies.

The CIDI Framework (Context, Instructions, Details, Input) breaks down complex tasks into structured prompts, enhancing clarity and goal orientation. Job Roles where this could be used to great effect include:

Project Manager Use Case Scenario

  • Drafting project briefs. By clearly outlining context, instructions, details, and input requirements, they ensure all team members understand project goals and deliverables.

Problem Solvers Use Case Scenario

  • An operations manager utilizes this framework by breaking down complex operational issues into clear components, they facilitate more effective problem-resolution discussions among team members.

The RICE framework (Role, Instructions, Context/Constraints, Examples) is adaptable and structured, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Job Roles where this could be used to great effect include:

Product Managers Use Case Scenario

  • Prioritizing feature requests from users by scoring each request based on role impact, instructions needed for implementation, context constraints, and examples of similar features, they were able to make decisions about product development priorities.
